California privacy disclosures and rights notice for Customers, Drivers, applicants, and visitors.
California Rights
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, port, limit certain sensitive personal information uses, and opt out of certain sharing or sales of personal information, subject to exceptions. To exercise rights, contact privacy@thedeliverytruck.com.
Categories Collected
- Identifiers such as name, email, phone, address, account ID, device ID, and payment processor ID.
- Commercial information such as job requests, payments, subscriptions, tips, refunds, referrals, promotions, and support history.
- Internet or network information such as IP address, cookies, device, browser, logs, and analytics.
- Geolocation information such as pickup/drop-off addresses, route/location signals, and Driver location where enabled.
- Professional or application information for Drivers, including vehicle, license, insurance, document uploads, payout status, and marketplace eligibility.
- User-generated content including messages, reviews, photos, job records, and support submissions.
- Sensitive personal information where necessary, such as precise location, Driver license data, financial account tokenization data, account credentials, and government/document information.
Purposes
We use personal information to operate the Platform, facilitate direct Customer-Driver jobs, process payments, review Driver eligibility, prevent fraud, maintain safety, support users, comply with law, administer referrals/subscriptions, and improve services.
Disclosure
We may disclose information to Customers, Drivers, vendors, processors, payment providers, support/admin personnel, fraud and safety vendors, legal advisors, insurers, regulators, courts, and business-transfer parties. We do not intend to sell personal information for money.
Targeted Advertising and Sharing
If marketing pixels, ad platforms, analytics, or campaign tools are enabled, certain disclosures may be considered "sharing" or targeted advertising under some state laws. Users may request opt-out where applicable.
Verification and Authorized Agents
We may verify privacy requests by matching account information, requesting confirmation, or requiring additional information. Authorized agents must provide proof of authority and identity verification.
Non-Discrimination
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights, but certain Platform features may require information to function.
