How personal information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, and protected on the Platform.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to visitors, Customers, Drivers, applicants, subscribers, admins, support contacts, referral participants, and other users of the Platform. It covers websites, mobile web, future mobile apps, admin tools, support tools, messaging, payment workflows, and vendor integrations.
Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email, phone, password credentials, role, profile, address, referral codes, and preferences.
- Customer job information: pickup/drop-off addresses, item descriptions, photos, dimensions, weight estimates, instructions, messages, delivery status, reviews, tips, support tickets, and dispute records.
- Driver application information: identity, contact details, address, license information, insurance documents, vehicle details, headshots, document photos, payout status, PRO status, location data, availability, job history, ratings, and compliance notes.
- Payment information: payment tokens, processor IDs, subscription status, transaction metadata, chargeback/refund data, and tax-related records. We should not store full card numbers.
- Technical information: device, browser, IP address, cookies, browser storage, analytics, logs, security events, and approximate or precise location where enabled.
- Communications: internal messages, customer-driver chats during active jobs, emails, SMS, push notifications, support notes, and admin records.
How We Use Information
- Provide accounts, job requests, matching, quotes, messaging, tracking, payments, reviews, referrals, subscriptions, support, and admin tools.
- Facilitate direct Customer-Driver contracts and preserve job records for analysis, disputes, safety, fraud prevention, insurance, tax, and legal purposes.
- Review Driver applications, documents, identity, marketplace eligibility, safety, and compliance.
- Send service messages, support replies, legal notices, account alerts, marketing messages where permitted, and referral/welcome packets.
- Detect fraud, abuse, safety incidents, payment risk, account misuse, prohibited items, and policy violations.
- Improve, debug, secure, and analyze the Platform.
Sharing and Disclosure
We may disclose information to Customers, Drivers, admins, support staff, payment processors, hosting providers, Firebase/Google services, map providers, communications vendors, background-check vendors, analytics providers, app stores, professional advisors, insurers, law enforcement, regulators, courts, and business-transfer parties as needed for Platform operation, legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or user-requested services.
Customer-Driver Visibility
Customer and Driver information may be shared with each other only as reasonably needed for requested jobs, communication, pickup, delivery, support, dispute handling, safety, and payment. Drivers should see only necessary Customer information and must not use it for unrelated purposes.
Retention
We retain information as long as needed for accounts, job records, legal compliance, tax, payment disputes, fraud prevention, safety, insurance, admin operations, and business records. Some records may be kept after account closure where lawful and necessary.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the Platform stage and data involved. No system is perfectly secure. Users should protect passwords, devices, and account access.
Your Choices
You may request access, correction, deletion, opt-out, marketing preferences, or other privacy rights by contacting privacy@thedeliverytruck.com. Rights vary by location and may be limited by legal, safety, fraud, payment, tax, dispute, or operational needs.
Children
The Platform is not intended for children under 13 and should not be used by minors without lawful authorization. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
State and International Rights
California and other state privacy rights may apply. See the California Privacy Notice/CCPA page for additional information. International users should understand that information may be processed in the United States.
